I have developed a happy gift
in how I view other people.
Normally we see strangers in the world,
with a subgroup of people we 'know'
family & friends.
Somehow I have
reached the point where it is
someone's son, someone's mother,
someone with a story and a
struggle that I see.
If you saw your
friend's elderly mother
driving slowly in traffic, your
heart might go out to her,
you have seen her timidity
and gentleness. She is
a lovely person, just trying to
keep up with mobility and with life.
You would not shout or frighten her
for slowing you down. But someone
would and does sometimes.
Don't be that person, seeing
people only as means
or obstacles. Know that they
are not perfect - just like yourself.

The Chinese say:
"Be tolerant of others and
strict with yourself."
Good advice I'd say,
for saving yourself occasions
for regret. How can you regret
becoming a larger person?
Warmly,
cloudia
