"If you look for the truth
outside yourself,
It gets farther
and farther away.
Today walking alone,
I meet it everywhere I step.
It is the same as me,
yet I am not it.

"For me, childhood roaming
was what developed self-reliance,
a sense of direction and
adventure, imagination, a
will to explore,

- to be able to get lost
a little lost, then figure
your way back."

" Kind words not only
lift our spirits
in the moment
they are given,
but they can
linger with us
over the years. "

  1. Love Pixie.
And yes, the seasons are definitely changing here. Winter is still hanging on, but Spring has her foot in the door.

  2. I love the shot of Pixie watching the ducks. It is still really hot here, although the rural areas are getting a little cooler at night :)

  9. We were allowed to roam far and wide compared to today's kids.

  10. Yes the seasons are changing. There are Monarch butterflies fluttering south and flocks of Canada Geese zooming around lately. The light has changed too. Hi Pixie!

  13. Great shots! No seasonal change here yet. We are still in the throes of summer, and dealing with lots of fire smoke.
