I Shall See Then Build

A  L  O  H  A !

 “… and now and then
we could look up and
give each other a thought,
because I think we could
have beautiful thoughts,
and we could just let
each other be less lonely
in our loneliness.”
            Charlotte Eriksson

“I love to watch the fine mist
of the night come on,
The windows and the stars
illumined, one by one. . .

" - I shall see
The springs, the summers,
and the autumns slowly pass;

- And when old Winter puts
his blank face to the glass,
I shall close all my shutters,
pull the curtains tight,
And build me stately
palaces by candlelight.”
       Charles Baudelaire

  2. You are so right about shared loneliness. But, when you're lonely, you're also sad. And when you're sad, you tend to discourage close human contact so our emotions feed on themselves. But I do love your photos. It helps, whether friend or fowl, to have someone with whom we can find solace.
