American Goldfinch
If you make an effort to
be grateful right now, to
notice and dwell on
the good stuff, to
actually say "thank you"
internally as you go along,
it will only feel weird
for a while.
Little Green Heron
Eventually it takes on a life
and rhythm of it's own that
can really draw you in for
as long as you wish
to maintain it. Sort of
a 'Comfort Spiral.'
Grackle
And one good thing
is, that it prevents
the tiny black weeds
from growing up
to choke your joy.

Gratitude is a gift which keeps on giving isn't it? And does a pretty good job of smothering the other stuff.

ReplyDeleteOne of the problems growing up with an engineering mindset is you were always looking for problems to fix. So you're always seeing problems.
