Importance

A L O H A From Honolulu!
Morning Moon

Grief is the price
we pay for love.
Queen Elizabeth II

Pixie and I were taking in the pinkness
of the morning and her moon
when a screeching cloud of
ring-neck parakeets flew by.
Their long parrot tails, and
blur of wings, created
this photo.

Spotted 20 minutes later; Yes! That Was Us!

Let your heart soar
as high as it will. A.W. Tozer

It gives us a feeling of importance
to be busy and concerned
about many things, but
really it is a dereliction of our
higher duties to live that way.

Pixie & Penguins

Once a penguin finds
its perfect other penguin,
they stay together
pretty much forever.

DRINK ME

  1. This is such a cool post. I think we need an updated saying: "once in a blue bottle under a pink moon..." That bottle looks completely empty. I bet Pixie drank the contents while you were setting up the shot. Is that why our lovely kitty looks like she's about to burp (delicately with fish breath, of course)?

I thought that flock of parakeets flying were a flock of drones from a Hawaiian military base; maybe they are secret weapons that escaped their top secret folders...

We live in a wonderful world. Thanks for spreading joy, peace, kindness, and love. Give Pixie a kiss on the nose from me after the odor of her fishy burp has dissipated.

  4. Teresa beat me to it. I thought the parrots were drones. Are you SURE they were parrots? Or maybe parrot-looking drones.

  14. What an amazing shot of those parakeets. Almost surreal.

I love the quote by Queen Elizabeth. She may have been small in stature, but she was big in words about grief and love.

Pixie as always looks amazing. Did she have something to do with that blue bottle being empty? Thanks for sharing tour incredible photos and quotes with us, along with that blue bottle for T this week, dear Cloudia.
