A L O H A From Honolulu!
Conrad and I were taxi drivers together here in Honolulu, circa 1990 |
There's no fence
nor hedge
around time that is gone.
You can go back and have
what you like of it,
if you can remember.
How Green Was My Valley

How can time take so long,
yet pass so quickly?
Back then I yearned,
and wondered;
Today I have memories
and know.
yet pass so quickly?
Back then I yearned,
and wondered;
Today I have memories
and know.
Grab your coat,
and get your hat
Leave your worry on the doorstep
Just direct your feet
To the sunny side
of the street!

my life seems like
one long obstacle race,
with me as the

Love that Jack Paar quote.
ReplyDeleteMy parents were not into marking photographs. Neither am I. I have a lot of old pictures of people that I have no idea who they are.
ReplyDeleteMe too E.C.
ReplyDeleteThat's right Mike!
You never sharing photos!
You live in haven!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images.
ReplyDeleteThe last quote on looking back is my favorite!
Take care, enjoy your weekend!
Jack Parr's quote is great, Cloudia.
ReplyDeletePoor doggie. Hopefully he's released from the cone soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Friends 💕

Wonderful street photography, and I love the look of that fancy rooster.
ReplyDeleteConrad looks like a happy guy. Wow! A taxi cab driver. How interesting. Pixie, I know has good memories. Thank you for joining FFO Oh, I have had a request to show how to put a face on a bottle. I will do a step by step next week. Have a great day today.

I love Conrad! What an amazing smile.
ReplyDeleteConrad looks like a really nice fella, with a lovely warm smile. Adorable dog with his cone. Love the angle on your leaf photo. The couple walking in an area I know so well. What a great header shot and those chickens always made me smile. Then there is the adorable Pixie. Thanks for the wise words too and I hope your day and weekend are great with plenty of more smiles.
ReplyDeleteMemories... of the way we (and Pixie and Conrad) were!! The chicken is remembering its harrowing experience crossing the road while being chased by an alien conehead dog from the south of France vacationing in Waikiki. Pixie is remembering the days when she could play outside on real grass instead of just looking down from her ivory tower. If she were a long-haired cat, she'd pull a Rapunzel to get rescued so she could chase the chicken with the conehead dog.
ReplyDeleteConrad looks like a real nice guy. Poor pooch needs to scratch that itch. Very imposing rooster!
ReplyDeleteSome friendly look faces.
ReplyDeleteI also took part in Friday Face off.
Coffee is on and stay safe

This is so well said!!
Excellent photos! I enjoyed looking at them.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so wonderful, Cloudia. The faces are great, the sunny warm weather makes me yearn to visit you, and Pixie is on the fence about a few things this week. Love all of these, dear.
