Ebisu,
in Japanese mythology, one of the

the patron of fishermen

He is depicted as a fat,
bearded, smiling fisherman

in the other.
He is a popular Shintō deity,

Thanks for the upbeat, sunny post today. I love the ebisu. He makes me smile. Pixie and I are both transfixed by today's mural. We are wondering if it depicts a female-headed dragon or the spirit of an ancient Chinese empress. Pure golden joy on the blog today.
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful. Thank you both.

Hello Cloudia and Pixie, think you for my daily dose of beauty and wise thoughts.
ReplyDelete"Winter is dead."
ReplyDeleteI wish. We got down into the 30s for the last couple of nights. Yesterday it seemed kind of cool in the house. I had turned the furnace back on so what was up? Well, the furnace quit. That was yesterday's project. Getting the furnace going again. YouTube videos didn't help this time but I managed to get it fired up.
A beautiful sunny and happy post. The mural is fantastic. Have a wonderful week, Cloudia and Pixie.
ReplyDeleteI do like the mural!
ReplyDeleteWe've a chilly day today. I think winter is just napping!
Pixie is inquiring about lunch.
