And now I have an ear worm - which is fine, because I love dragons.
ReplyDeleteI like the shade circle.
ReplyDeleteMy mom had that Peter, Paul, and Mary album when I was growing up. Puff the Magic Dragon was one of my favorite songs. I love dragon boats, too. Pixie is pretending she's Little Jacky Paper, but instead of bringing strings and sealing wax, I bet she brings dead mice or birds to give to Puff. Does Puff roar out his name at the start of the dragon boat races, or do they just use an air horn?
ReplyDeleteI love this post, Cloudia. All the pics & quotes mesh so well.
ReplyDeleteYou three are truly dear friends! So lovely to see you
ReplyDeleteAnd you too dear Mike!
ReplyDeleteThe dragons are awesome. I remember that song still after all these years. Thanks again for such a wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteHow nice! I haven't heard "Puff, the magic dragon" for a long time. Thanks for linking to Nature Thursday, but you were a day early. The right post is yet to come.
ReplyDeleteKind regards - Elke
Our Isabelle adores dragons. The header is amazing. I must find a new one for myself.
ReplyDeleteHappy May.
HA! I read your "3 friends" and thought, "Who was left out?" Using my deductive skills I figured 3 girls 1 guy, IT WAS ME! BUT!!! Then I saw I got my own special comment. That was your plan all along, wasn't it! 😄
ReplyDeleteMom forgot all about Puff the magic dragon from when she was little! Thanks for the memory. It is also a good thing to turn the mind upside down. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeletePixie is such a cooperative photo subject.

ReplyDeleteLove the dragons and your kitty. That song always makes me cry.
ReplyDeleteSo you date yourself with "Puff the Magic Dragon" ... I remember that song from years ago and it is the perfect match for your dragon boats. Love the circles of all good things and Pixie is always a treat. Cute and clever this week, Claudia ...

Lovely photos and quotations, Cloudia. I've sat by those trees overlooking the Pavilion many times. Those dragon boats are beautiful. Have a happy week!
