Beauty in the Cracks

A L O H A From Honolulu!

To be beautiful means
to be yourself. You don't need to be
accepted by others. You need to
accept yourself. Thich Nhat Hanh

The greatest threat to
the state is not
faction but distraction
Aristotle

You will never be alone
with a poet in your pocket.
John Adams

Laughter fluffs up
every cell
in your body.
Phyllis Diller

Wherever I have knocked,
a door has opened.
Wherever I have wandered,
a path has appeared. Alice Walker

True beauty, whether it comes from
an object, architecture, or visual art,
doesn't reveal itself until the
winds of time have had their say.
Beauty is in the cracks, the
worn spots, and the imperfect lines.

  5. Thanks for the uplifting post! I like all the pictures and quotes. I think Pixie is wondering how to put a poet in her pocket since she is not a marsupial...

  12. Sorry I'm late visiting, but life and a flood in my basement got in the way of computer time. Phyllis Diller had it right, didn't she? Charming little boy. Fortunately, Pixie has no imperfect lines or cracks.

  13. Lovely and interesting photos today, Claudia and if I were Pixie I would beg to differ with Todd Diminary and not say beauty is found in cracks and worn spots, but in fluff, eyebrows and green eyes. :)
