Wisdom is not gained
by knowing what is right.
Wisdom is gained by
practicing what is right,
and noticing what happens
when that practice succeeds

What gets us into trouble
is not what we don't know.
It's what we know for sure
that just ain't so.

is NOT a Duck:
Biologists say that
the duck's tail feathers

In the afternoon,
the beauty of the world
reveals itself in a gentle light,
and we find solace in its embrace.
Thanks for the beauty and the smiles.

ReplyDeletethat just ain't so."
So true in our world today.

ReplyDeleteCool captures and lovely quotes. Interesting information about the duck!
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes today and the lovely Pixie!
ReplyDeleteI love that first quote about wisdom and the pun about ducks and tail feathers. Pixie is laughing at that one, too. The egret is beautiful; why did it evolve tail feathers, since it doesn't quack?
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots.
ReplyDelete...the views are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteGreat Cityscapes and flowers. Love the egret sanding in for the pigeon. The second quotation, from Mark Twain, sadly rings so true today.
ReplyDeletePractice practice practice.
ReplyDeleteYou live in paradise. So beautiful. Especially Pixie.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to Pixie. ♥
Beautiful photos and the quotes are enriching.
ReplyDeleteSome spectacular sky photos! Pixie is looking curious today.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great rays!! Happy Tuesday
ReplyDeleteLOL! A butt quack! Acting grown up is not easy. Mom is still good at acting like a kid when she can and it makes her happy. She is known as the crazy aunt by her niece and nephew.
