A L O H A From Honolulu!
Before the world was made,
Before the light had shone,
Before the stars were formed,
Or life had even begun,
There was the dance of gods,
a primordial performance.
The Red Tower Ginger bears
enlightenment, passion, excitement.
Addresses the element Fire
Diversity, wealth, and burning passion.
It is considered a good sign
if you find a red tower
ginger growing nearby.
Here's Yours!
The Japanese have a traditional
lion dance called shishi-mai.
The dance is performed to pray for
good health and fortune. It is
believed that the dance can
cast away evil spirits.
The lion dance is thought to
have been imported from China
during the Tang dynasty.
The dance is also a practice
of Shinto, the faith/way of life
unique to the Japanese people.
She's proud of her children,
Proud of their show,
She's proud of their talent,
Proud of their glow.
Clicking the shutter,
She freezes the time,
Storing it away
In her heart.
In years to come,
The family smiles
at memories
Of the day
The children danced.
I’ll always be near.
In the morning light
the evening breeze,
And the stillness
of night.
I’ll be close by,
watching over you.
