A L O H A From Honolulu!
In the warm Hawaiian sun, koi fish glisten like jewels under water. Their bright colored scales shimmer and gleam as they swim gracefully, mesmerizing to watch. Originally from Japan, they are loved for their beauty and tranquility.
Honolulu November Sky
Layered sky in shades
of gray and umber,
November clouds glide
November clouds glide
as if in slumber.
November sky,
so vast and wide,
A canvas where
A canvas where
the clouds collide.
Joy and sorrow,
light and dark,
Create a moving
Create a moving
work of art.
Now here's the eight year memory of moving to Cali.
Grateful to be home in the islands since 2019!
Fireplace girl, my love from the sea,
How could I bring you to
this land of winter's spree!?
How could I bring you to
this land of winter's spree!?
On the first of November,
when the winds blow cold,
I'm glad I have you here to hold.
Waikiki girl who lived
in the sunny curtains
In this cold land of winds
in the sunny curtains
In this cold land of winds
and chilly fogs
You are a sweet source comfort
You are a sweet source comfort
Before the roasting logs.

ReplyDeleteAt least you had a comfy fireplace when you were in NorCal... Gorgeous shots today. Glad you are back in your island paradise home with the gorgeous Pixie Cat still at your side.
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle mural!
ReplyDeleteThe cloud in your first photo absolutely does look like an angel, Cloudia. A great reminder that angels always dwell among us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
There have been many earth angels who have helped me in difficult times over the years. Beautiful photos, beautiful words. Have a wonderful week Cloudia :)
ReplyDeleteI must, some day, hear the story of your Northern California visit. Hawaii sounds much more welcoming - to you and to Pixie.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you came back to Hawaii, Cloudia. I hope you're doing well. I've had you in my thoughts these past few days.
ReplyDeleteWe always go and look at the Koi fish when we are on singapore airport. Love the mural of the turtles. A shame that they are extinct. You can still see turtles on many Pacific Islands and I saw one closeby when we went to the Cook Islands
ReplyDeleteLove your eclectic posts! Something wonderful for everyone!
ReplyDeleteThank you 🙏🏽
