that they hear nothing.

He was the most excited baby dragon that ever lived. My father was in a hurry to fly away, and when the dragon finally calmed down a bit my father climbed up onto his back.

Beautiful captures and quotes!
ReplyDeleteHooray for dragons. And Rumi. And for you and Pixie too.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you again my friends. Aloha
ReplyDeleteLovely images and quotes, Cloudia!
ReplyDeletePixie is a cutie, as always!
The baby dragon is cool!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend.
Yes, true wisdom comes from listening and observing, not from talking. Pics 1, 2 and 5 are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThat megaceratops must have laughed a lot looking at his/her head.
ReplyDelete...open wide and say ah!
ReplyDeleteIt is true that some talkers do not listen well.
ReplyDeletePixie is a delight.
ReplyDeleteLove the baby dragon but all your words speak loudly, Cloudia. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute dragon! Nice memories.
ReplyDeleteLove Rumi's quote. Beautiful photos, Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteMy Father's Dragon has been an intergenerational fan-favorite in our family for many years. Does Pixie like dragons, too?
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz when he said, wisely, "Some people without brains do an awful lot of talking."
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Cloudia and Pixie!
"An orchid in a deep forest sends out its fragrance even if no one is around to appreciate it."
ReplyDeleteSame thing with farts in an empty room.
That is one big skull. Quite glad they are no longer around.
ReplyDeleteO your pictures are really beautiful. I am here for the Saturday Critters but the flowers is amazing too.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the Rumi quote and matching photo. Pixie is adorable today.
ReplyDeleteI had not heard of My Father's Dragon so I looked it up. It sounds like a cute story.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I don't know if you saw this reply to your comment on my blog:
Would you believe I was at the optometrist who tried a new virtual reality headset on me to check my peripheral vision? When he took it off, I got a terrible vertigo attack. Good grief! I now carry meclizine with me all the time. I was able to quickly take it. They let me rest a bit until things calmed down and continued with my appointment. The other optometrist who I also love told me she ALSO suffered from vertigo and had to do the Epley Maneuver 3xday for 6 months. So it's not over for me. Sigh...
I'm a dreamer...so I like these quotes. It's hard to concentrate on the mundane sometimes. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThe wisdom thoughts should be read by everyone, the Bauhinia blooms are stunning. Thanks for sharing with Garden Affair.
