A L O H A From Honolulu!
Henceforth I ask not good-fortune,
I myself am good fortune;
henceforth I whimper no more,
postpone no more, need nothing.
Strong and content,
I travel the open road.
Walt Whitman
Simply shine your light on
the road ahead, and you are
helping others to see
their way out of darkness.

Small lights have a way of
being seen in a dark world.

Green and round of leafy crown,
Breadfruit hangs, treasure found!
South Pacific's ancient friend,
A bond that stretches, without end.
Connections bloom, with every bite,
Ages shared in pure delight.
More than body it sustains,
Cultures are woven in its veins.
Symbol stitched, with loving hand,
Of breadfruit's bounty,
ancient and grand.
Leaves of grace, quilter's pride,
I too am not a bit tamed,
I too am untranslatable,
I sound my barbaric yawp
over the roofs of the world.
Walt Whitman

Glorious post today, although Pixie's poem claims that she is a wild thing, but she seems to be pretty tame in that shot. Or is she lulling you in to get you close enough for her to bite the hand that feeds her? Maybe she needs to eat more breadfruit than catnip treats.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous post of Pixie receiving the homage she deserves. A little light travells a long, long way.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is looking so fabulous
ReplyDeleteGreat shadow of that tree and Pixie can always make such a puzzled face. Again very nice and beautifully lit with all those quotes.
ReplyDelete...Amen, Katrina!!!
ReplyDeleteFab tree and shadows in photo 2.
ReplyDeleteI love the tree with its shadow, Cloudia. ;-)
ReplyDeletePixie is as photogenic and sweet as ever, Cloudia. I must admit, I've never tried breadfruit and am not even sure I can find it in the lower 48. I'll let you know if I do.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Wow what a sky on the first one
ReplyDeleteThe tree shadow is excredible. It's amazing what light can show us. Have a great day, Cloudia.
