Abe Levis, of Philadelphia's
LEVIS Hot-dogs,
purchased this marble soda fountain,
used, in 1895 for $30.
Still in use in my small kid days,
Dad said it was the oldest
Soda Fountain in the world! Link
Lovely photos and great quotes, Cloudia. Pixie looks adorable and has some nice views.
ReplyDeleteI can only add to Linda!
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing me smiles! I love the picture of Pixie sitting above it all and the shot of the oldest soda fountain in the world.
ReplyDeleteAll the images are heart warming to look at
ReplyDeleteYou could guess that I would find the oldest soda fountain in the world quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos :-D
ReplyDeleteLots to marvel at - and it is excellent to see a comment from Andrew too.
ReplyDeleteCute little birds.
ReplyDeleteWhen you grow older it is more letting go then holding on to keep the balance in life.
ReplyDelete...and dad wouldn't lie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture of the moon.
ReplyDeleteLove the trees and Pixie has quite the view!
Take care, have a wonderful week!
Happy new week to you and Pixie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a view from Pixie's window!
ReplyDeleteGreat words. Love the old soda fountain, Cloudia. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe oldest soda fountain in the world? Wow! Pixie does have a marvelous view, too. Blessings, Cloudia!
ReplyDeleteTHat soda fountain is cool. I did a Harvard history course online in lockdown and they said it's the ordinary things that disappear because nobody thinks they're important enough to keep or document....This is one of them - but someone did and it's an interesting glimpse into the past. ##WWOT
ReplyDeleteI wonder if soda-fountain technology has changed over the years!
ReplyDeleteThat soda fountain is pretty amazing. What a super image for T day. And boy that sun in the first photo looks HOT. (Well of course it is; it's the sun.)Have a super T day, and give Pixie a pat for me. Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling your way, Cloudia. Art's parents had something like a soda fountain back in Honokaa many decades ago.
ReplyDeleteLife is a ... HIGHWAY! I'm going to ride it all night long.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo that goes with the Santosh Kalwar quote. It looks like a magic jungle. Pixie goes where ever she chooses, it seems. Nice photo and what a view you have.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed learning about that old soda fountain. I'll have a Champ cherry, please. Thanks for this amazing photo of that soda fountain. It's perfect for T this Tuesday, dear Cloudia.
Aloha! Namaste 🙏
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day wishes ❤️ . Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteAwwww, the ducklings! Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteBalancing and letting go. A fine line to walk. What has Pixie's attention? Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteThat yellow trumpet tree is spectacular. Also spectacular is the view from your window! How high up are you? 20 storeys? More?
ReplyDelete>Love seeing Pixie grooming herself in the window sill seemingly oblivious of the beautiful view.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
