Dear Canadian Friends!
July 1, 1867.
Three colonies became the
Dominion of Canada,
and the world became
a better one.
Every American should
appreciate the giant country
that spans the North American
continent from the Atlantic to
the Pacific and from the Rocky
Mountains to the Arctic.
She is the world's oldest
bilingual, pluralistic,
parliamentary democracy and
a force for human dignity,
rights and liberty
around the world.

Bonne fête du Canada!
There’s calm in the
mind of the humble.
An unmistakable peace
of not having to prove
anything to anyone.

Oh Magic 8-Ball,
round and wise,
With cryptic gaze
and inky eyes,
I shake you up—
my fate to see,
You answer:
“Ask again, maybe.”
Do not think
I've reached
where I am now
by slipping
like a landslide
or evaporating
like a cloud.

I was disappointed that there weren't any washboards, but their harmonies were beautiful. Pixie's curious look made me think that she is trying to use her x-ray vision to find their washboard abs...

ReplyDeleteThank you for this, Cloudia! We are hurting as much as you are. The impact is awful for so many. Such injustice. We have to remember there are good people in the world, like you!
ReplyDeleteCanada is so different from the U.S.A. Great photo from Pixie.
