When the wind
forgets to hurry
so does the heart.
forgets to hurry
so does the heart.
Untroubled leaves
can rest
where they fall—
nothing to resist.
can rest
where they fall—
nothing to resist.
Peace is not won,
only remembered,
like finding calm water
in the middle
only remembered,
like finding calm water
in the middle
of the storm.

its roots go very deep

Hope is being able
to see that there is
light despite all of

To meet everything
and everyone
through stillness
instead of mental noise
is the greatest gift
you can offer
to the universe.

Delete...fabulous images.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky shot and funny that you can't see if it is sunrise or sunset.
ReplyDeleteHad to look up Ataraxia, but enjoyed thinking about it now. Pixie is so well framed with the light hitting her in the view with the geometric shapes.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you experience some calm water and light in the darkness today. I am sure that you will.
ReplyDeleteThat sky shot is amazing, Cloudia. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSpectacular sky.
ReplyDeleteI loved your poem, Cloudia, and that fantastic photo of Pixie. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks each of you! I have made an important decision to reframe how I view my situation. My husband has dementia and is in hospice care. There is so much sad to focus on that. It has been filling my frame. But I realized I get to see him everyday. A 30-minute drive away. He knows who I am. We share affection so I'm just going to focus on that and enjoy that as long as I can. And in the future I will deal with what is happening then. But may I always see the beauty and joy of simply being alive and feel gratitude for it even when I am sad. Thank you for being part of our journey. Pixie just looked up and joins me ❤️🌺
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography and beautiful quotes. Pixie is by far the most wonderful part of this post.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you and your husband.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to Pixie. ♥
There is always light, despite the darkness. Sending love and encouragement your way.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to be hopeful right now.....
ReplyDeleteOMG! That first photo should be on Hawaii News Now! It's gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteThat first sunrise/sunset photo is amazing Cloudia. Give Pixie a pat for, and Happy T day to you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Cloudia. (and quotes. I like the Desmond Tutu quote).
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your husband recognizes you and that it is only 30 min to go see him. What a blessing. Stay positive.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Someone in my Grandmother's family must have had dementia because she was always afraid of losing her mind. I feel for you and your husband, but at least he still knows you for now.
ReplyDeleteI love how you recolored that blue tree. I love the Desmond Tutu quote, but found the photo a bit sad. Thanks for sharing it with us for T this week, dear Cloudia.
