Leaping high
through morning blue,
Dolphin clouds
in sunlight flew.
Gray and silver,
light with play,
They chase away tears
the storm set astray.
Skies that wept
now softly gleam,
Like laughter rising
from a dream.
The world exhales
— the sea, the air —
Joy returns,
and all is fair.

Early evening's buzz and glow,
she pauses at the edge of the sidewalk. Palm shadows dance like whispered secrets across her bare shoulders,
a fleeting poem to passersby
she will never know she wrote.
