King of Drinks
He sits a moment,
on beverage cartons,
resting a moment,
catching his breath.
on beverage cartons,
resting a moment,
catching his breath.
The street hums around him,
not seeing his small kingdom,
His throne of bottles,
then he lifts a box again,
and the workday
keeps on moving.

keeps on moving.

That's a hard-working Bottle King. Hadn't really thought about sunsets being a gateway to Heaven cuz I didn't know the Gate was on the horizon. Pixie looks like a Queen in her hammock. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteThanks for highlighting this hard working man
ReplyDeleteI love Pixie's ode to the Bottle King. Pixie herself is the Soft Bed Queen of Catnaps. Gorgeous rainbows, too.
ReplyDelete...may your happy life be made with acts of kindness always!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI always love your sky images, they are beautiful.
Pixie looks cute and comfy.
Great inspiring quotes!
Take care, enjoy your day! Have a wonderful week!
Seeing that sunset is definitely a slice of heaven, Cloudia. May we all choose to be kind to one another every moment of every day. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteOh fond memories are evoked of cats helping me make the bed!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy my visits here, Cloudia. I'm glad the floods haven't been in your area. Stay safe. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the double rainbow. That Zig Ziglar quote is great and Pixie makes it true. I really like the King of Drinks. It's perfect for T this week, dear Cloudia and Pixie.
ReplyDeletePixie, thank you for showcasing the hard working man who most people wouldn't even notice.
ReplyDeleteA lovely post. I sure could use some miracles right now. The photo of Pixie is just too cool relaxing.
ReplyDeletePixie is a good poet :)
ReplyDeleteClaudia, roasting coffee is not difficult. All you need is a West Bend popcorn air popper and green coffee beans that are always available on line or at some coffee shops. It takes about five minutes to get to second crack, which is a medium roast giving the best flavors. Those air poppers are sometimes available at thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the bottle king and Pixie's words. Hope things are going ok for you.
ReplyDeleteAll images look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful time you have shared with us here. So glad you and Pixie were safe during that bad storm.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to tell Pixie she's a most lovely poet and her craft of putting soul into words! Uplifting quotes have brightened my evening too. Stay safe and hug s to you both I'm happy your "bad storm" is over! Aloha.
ReplyDeleteLove the Rainbow-quote especially. And the King (hihi, my name translated is "Emperor" - my Dad, who was a business man always said, "We are the Emperor, but the customer is always the King!"). Happy T-Day! Aloha.
ReplyDelete2nd & 3rd sky view pic just awesome, Great post as always.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know storm over, Stay safe. Greetings to you and Pixie :)
He is the king of drinks for certain. And as always, what lovely skies. None of your recent heavy rains though. I hope the sun is back. Give Pixie a pat for me.
ReplyDeletePixie is at ease.
