Treasure
by Cloudia Charters
Treasure is not always gold,
or something buried
far away.
Some riches live in a vault
others live forever
breathing
in your heart.
Kindness weighs more
than a locked chest of jewels.
Precious things
money cannot buy:
Time, Health, Friendship,
Peace, and Home.
Treasure is not always found.
Sometimes we make it
with patience, work, and love.
Treasures we cannot lose,
the beauty
of the soul.
You conquer
the world
by conquering
by conquering
yourself.
