Can you see the tightrope? ENLARGE!

 "A well-developed sense of humor
is the pole
that adds balance to your steps
as you walk the tightrope of life. "

William Arthur Ward

"Life is always a tightrope
or a feather bed.
Give me the tightrope. "

Edith Wharton

"Skill is successfully walking a tightrope
between the twin towers
of New York's World Trade Center.
Intelligence is not trying. "

Marilyn vos Savant

Wandering around,
with my camera
and some paper
to write on
connects me to others,
to real life outside of my head;
To sanity.

What are the things
that help Y O U

Balance
&
Poise?

  9. Leon Russell is making a come back of sorts. Fabulous photo of the dragon cloud that gets my vote. Balance and poise for me is listening to lots and lots of music and reading well written books :-).

  10. It is a (black) sense of humour that gets me through. And it is amazing how funny some disasters can be. And gardening, and cats. Thanks, as always great photos, great quotes.

  11. As much as possible, the sound of rain, listening for it to drum me a name.

The ability to remain standing, at rest, to write me fleeting thoughts. Great pictures of the "wire and its challenging walk", life itself. Thank you.

Please have a good weekend ahead.

  13. I think just looking for good things around me does that - sometimes I jot them down, but mostly I keep them in my head. As it should be. :)

  18. A fun post with this agile tightrope walker, and beautiful skies over Hawaii, especially like the rainbow. For me, being out in nature and especially in the company of wildlife makes me feel totally at peace with the world.

  22. I always grab my camera and shoot something that would best ease my tiredness. Being a nurse with 12-hour shift duty is very tiring, somehow music tend to soothe me but it is reaLLy my camera that keeps me sane :))
