Huge NEWS

ALOHA    FRIENDS !

When you live on a boat, as we do,
THIS is your view!
There is little to see out your porthole,
 maybe one palm tree
 that moves out of sight
with the movements of the boat
at the end of it's ropes.

Yes, this has been home for 20 years,
as I posted about recently

We don't HAVE a view,
we ARE the view!

But all that is about to change
BIG TIME

Below
you can see
my
N E W
V I E W!

I'm beside myself.
Bathroom, Kitchen,
S P A C E. . .

Housing is expensive on islands,
and we looked at many
depressing places-

But finally found a situation
a couple of blocks from
the harbor.
My days can still begin
with a walk on Waikiki Beach.

“ I have heard the mermaids singing,
each to each. ”

 T. S. Eliot

So I'll still see the familiar neighbors:
“ Why do we love the sea?
It is because it has some potent power
to make us think things we like to think. ”

Robert Henri

Just not LIVE with them.

I just hope this sailor can adjust.
But I KNOW
that I
WILL!

So please excuse my absence
if I'm not around your blogs
as much as I'd like.

Now you know.
But please don't tell Kitty yet.

I'm gonna lay down now.

My sea legs are confused,
and my head
is SPINNING!

But no more emergencies in the night
like THIS one,
that caused my husband
to miss my nieces wedding.

Or THIS one
that almost sank us!

THIS scary one,

or the TWO Tsunami alerts
HERE & HERE.

Guess I'm just getting soft.

Hooray!

What do you think? warmly cloudia

  9. I'm so happy for you
    you deserve all good things

make sure to place lots of things that small like you and Kitty in the new place ahead of time

rub Kitty with a few towels and then bring them to the new place as well as old toys, even bed linens

also bring a small bit of used litter with you when you set up the litterbox, that way Kitty will immediately know it's still there

I've fostered so many and have learned these tricks to make them feel better about moving around

  10. I don't always sound like I love the ocean, esp when I say the only reason I like the sea is because it's shares the same sound as Kelsey's last name. Really I just get grumpy and frustrated sometimes, although it's only temp.

that's a nice view from your new place, especially when you it only means a few steps to be on your boat. A real best of both.

  12. Wow! BIG event! Pirate Kitty is going to need a familiar shelf, or another porthole to walk through. You need a giant Housewarming party! So, can you rent out the boat? (Don't forget to use the flush lever...it's on the top corner of that big white porcelin bowl near the enclosed shower.) Congrats! DrumMajor
