Truthfully,
Waikiki is always hosting
visitors
from all over the world.
But having world-leader
security
has been stressful.
(see recent posts
if you don't know what I'm talking about)
When to leave-
How to go-
How to get home-
How to complete mundane tasks-
The road closures
& motorcades-
It will be SO nice
to be "just us & visitors"
again!
Thanks for looking in.
YOUr comment is valued.
Warmly, cloudia
However, you did take some nice pics of the lock down. Today, blogs are the rough draft of history.
ReplyDeleteI'd welcome them to the 48205 anytime. then their security will have a practical use.
ReplyDeletea dear friend of mine is there for the conference. it must be difficult to combine hawaii and work. and you had the helicopter crash. definitely a stressful environment.
ReplyDeleteI'm home in bed. I didn't sleep well last night. lots of vivid dreams. thank you for reading and commenting on my story. it was difficult for me to tell and I so want to be respectful.
As often happens, I pop over here and am instantly relaxed. Enjoyed the song as well as the images. and the quotes are always as special treat.
I've been meaning to ask you about your signature sign off. what does it mean?
Morning Cloudia. :)

Something greatly lacking these day by many well off business people.
Love all the quotes! : )
ReplyDeleteA friend of ours will be there in December to motor bike around the islands. Wave if you see him :).
ReplyDeleteRespect for those who can be of no service to him. Yes.
ReplyDeleteLoved all the quotes, but the Phelps one is a favorite.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been watching the news...I get a better view from your blog. =) Awesome quotes as usual!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, cheers ~~!
ReplyDeleteThe quotations are perfect for a Moonday, as are the pix.
Security -- in Texas, you're on your own most of the time, which is ok except for Road Warrior commuting times. Tom Waits is right on.
When will they leave....or have they?
ReplyDeleteWishing you a peaceful time soon.
ReplyDeleteooo! It's sort of normal this morning. a few roving motorcades/closures.
ReplyDeletelovely remarks today, dear friends. thanks.

You got lots of visitors today, eh?
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered what normal is, does it really exist. The Dianne Houston quote rings true :-).
ReplyDeleteyour previous post is much how NY looks all the time, without the beaches
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers in this post
So, did they wear the shirts, or didn't they?
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes, Cloudia. I'm glad you're getting your town back to normal. It was a proud time to have all those world leader here though.
ReplyDeleteTo grow, to spend life in secureness, what a challenge. Second quote is amazing ! Please have you all a good Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteGood morning from KL, Cloudia !
ReplyDeleteI always have to brighten my time by stopping by...having vacation time is good, but it's the catching up on your return that gets so long.....thanks Cloudia for your sweetness....and so many pretty sights too! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I hope you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteHooray for normalacy. Even if your normal seems incredibly exotic here.
ReplyDeleteAh, you survived the ultimate host test, Cloudia - and managed to get us some fine shots at the same time ! Nicely done, with fitting quotes.
ReplyDeleteAloha !
Must be stressful. Years ago when I lived near the ocean, my Dad's favorite saying about the tourists was, "Nice to see them come but even nicer to see them go." He meant it in a nice way of course because durin the winter we went back to our quiet state. I can't really say that about Hawaii of course because the tourist season is all year long, add special events such as this and I am sure it gets very trying at times.
ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts, as always. I hope things get back to normal soon :), Miriam@Meatless Meals For Meat Eaters
ReplyDeleteyou know, they didn't wear the Aloha shirts made for them!
ReplyDeleteNice photos and sayings!

Fantastic, inspiring quotes. Thanks so much for sharing these, Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteYou know that's exactly how New Yorkers feel when dignitaries show up. I agree that one has to show up and be present for and in their lives to get benefits. Wonderful post, Cloudia. Cheers!!
