A L O H A !
My (Blog Invisible) husband
said today,
regarding moving off of,
and selling our boat:
" We will retire from
life-as-chess game,
and play checkers!
We are simplifying
and down-sizing
in order to be as happy
and carefree as possible
for as long as possible
on what we have. "
Happily,
even as inevitability
rushes headlong
in our direction,
it brings with it
promises
too.
" To be happy
you must be your own
sunshine. "Charles Edward Jerningham
" The best is yet to be."
I feel that to be true.
And such is my wish
for You
& for Me.
Thanks for visiting!

ReplyDeleteHe's your check-mate. :)
ReplyDeleteDownsized already now I want to live outsides.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteMahalo for mothering all of your blog buddies! Cool art about the Vancouver rain. Is that a young turkey ready to eat Pirate Kitty? DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteChess to checkers should be a good move.
ReplyDeleteHappy stay!
I like the chess versus checkers analogy. I need to do that as well. Go to checkers.

Sunshine, yes, we must find our own, in little things, small moments.

Fantastic! Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteMe and my wife have already down-sized some time ago ...
ReplyDeleteGood idea that.
ReplyDeleteWell ALOHA and BONJOUR!!!
ReplyDeleteI believe in downsizing too. Now in our 50s, we are doing just that and loving it.
THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY POST! Will you participate in the Paris Link Party? I was not sure !!!
Let me know, please. It would be great to have you! Anita
Comes to us all - if we're lucky. The best of luck to you.
ReplyDeleteLovely thoughts and post! I was downsizing too, until suddenly, one of my grown children and my 90 year old father moved in. Now I find myself looking for a bigger house! :)
ReplyDeleteI suppose if it had been a houseboat as in Sausalito, the amenities would be better.
ReplyDeleteI think it was a brilliant move Cloudia, you love your new digs high in the sky don't you. The simple life is the best life, not so much to worry about losing!!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, I love the saying about Vancouver...I live in Victoria where the weather is very similar! (although I'm in Mexico at the moment soaking up the sunshine).
ReplyDeleteWe downsized hugely 3 years ago and love it, but it's much easier to do where the weather cooperates and most of "living" can be done outside.
