Rain Blows In
“ Some people
walk in the rain,
others
just get wet. ”
Roger Miller
Moves On By
“ The only noise now
was the rain,
pattering softly
with the magnificent
indifference
of nature
for the tangled passions
of humans. ”
Sherwood Smith
But Not Before Blessing All flowers
“ Heaven knows
we need never be ashamed
of our tears,
for they are rain
upon the blinding dust
of earth,
overlying
our hard hearts. ”
Charles Dickens,
Great Expectations

When it rains,
we pause.

so no one can see me
crying. ”
Charles Chaplin

ReplyDeleteOh what a sad quote from Charlie Chaplin, sometimes the lives of funny guys is not always funny oui! Stunning skies Cloudia, ours are a little grey in Perth, but the rain is always welcome.

Those colours are just sublime. Thank you. And the Charlie Chaplin quote reminded me of just why I try to do my crying in the shower. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI like listening to the rain, when I'm warm and cosy inside the house. x

ReplyDeletei loved this line: the magnificent
indifference
of nature
for the tangled passions
of humans
Growing up, I never walked in the rain. I ran and played in it. These days I sometimes just get wet. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful colored skies, I love this.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Irma
Wonderful shots with nice colors.
ReplyDeletegreetings, Joop
Thanks for the rain. Forgot what it was. Today's pink flower looks like a puppy face. DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteRain is so good for the gardens of our souls, and yes the flowers and tomatoes too! If it's raining where you are right now-dance a quick happy-little jig, before the sun comes out again-Peace, Karen
ReplyDeleteI am one of the few, I suppose, who walks in the rain...and enjoys it. Great post, Cloudia!
ReplyDeleteLovely...it just rained here.:)
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining every morning and evening for the past few days. It's almost never what Guy Hagi says it is. However, it is nice to pause and look at that rainbow.
ReplyDeleteMuch in love with rain. Always try to hear the sound of a name being drummed by the falling drops.
ReplyDeleteYet, nearly since Easter there was no rain falling over here.
Thank you for this joy. Please have you all a good Wednesday.
I had Charlie's thought just this morning.
ReplyDeleteWe are all in danger of being swept away by the rain over here.
I love the sky in that first shot. Marvelous!
ReplyDeleteRain... lovely when it just comes down to please, not to destroy :)
