Important Trip

 A  L  O  H  A !

There is only you

and your camera.

The limitations in your

photography are in yourself,

for what we see is what we are.

Ernst Haas

The soul should always

stand ajar, ready

to welcome the

ecstatic experience.

                 Emily Dickinson

The most important trip

you may take in life is

meeting people half way.

                     Henry Boyle

I am repeated over & over

Like waves forming and

crashing to the shore -

once more I am washed up,

beached on your heart. . .

 Collette O'Mahony

  1. I read up on Dickenson. She was a sad recluse. I don't think the ecstatic ever made it to her door.

Wikipedia said 'later in life...'. Later in life? She died at 55. Who says modern medicine isn't great?!

She died of nephritis, a kidney disease. I had nephritis when I was 11 years old. I was in the hospital for two weeks back then. Today they would probably give me a pill and tell me to stay home for a couple of days. Anyway, 62 years later, here I am!

  2. My soul was standing ajar when I saw that picture of Pixie washing herself. She washed up onto my soul and made me ecstatic! Sheer joy!

  10. Yes, so many great quotes and captures today, I too would be at a loss without my camera! It brings me in search of things far greater than I ever imagines. Of course just wandering about fills that pleasure, but it's the study of my photos after, the reminders from facebook memories or just friends or loved ones sharing this or that. We are blessed by all these wondrous sights about us! Aloha from me to you.
