Songs Resume

A  L  O  H  A  From Honolulu!
When you come out of

the storm you won't be

the same person

who walked in. That's

what this storm's

all about.

Haruki Murakami

Every Morning This Time of Year!

It is the sign of a great mind

to dislike greatness, and to

prefer things in measure

to things in excess.

Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Rainbows are the perfect
measure of light,
droplets, and appreciator.

That's US!

Honolulu Historic Chinatown Link
These sidewalks and curbs
are 19th Century! My favorite
district on Oahu. Wait,
Waikiki is a great home.
I sort of love the mountains
too. Don't forget the jungle!

Mickey Mouse Plant - Ochna serrulata

You must pass your days

in song.

Let your whole life

be a song.

Sai Baba

᭛᭛᭛᭛᭩

After the ghost-town times
of lock-down, Waikiki
and Oahu are coming back
to life. Some of us are
still waiting the vaccines
[should get to my youthful
age-group perhaps this
month] while also minding
the precautions that got
us this far. It's a wonder
what adult leadership
can accomplish in under
60 days, after
4 years of tumult.
It feels good to see
human activity!
Dark hotels shine
their windows again.

The rainbows bravely
appear every morning.

Thank YOU
for appearing here
like the rainbow.
You bring even more
beautiful colors
to us all!

Love You,

                   Cloudia & Pixie

  1. But the rainbows were appearing even during the pandemic, weren't they? Love the Chinatown shop. Soon tourists can go to Hawaii again and buy Year of the Ox decorations at cut-rate prices.

  2. "adult leadership" is an understatement. A high schooler with one civics class could have run the country better than the orange buffoon.

  3. The world breathes a little easier with the change in your leadership.
I hope you get your vaccine soon - and thank you for the beauty and the rainbows you share.

  5. Aloha Cloudia and Pixie, you know how much I enjoy and believe your first quote Haruki Murakami, and another favorite one from him is this.
“I think that my job is to observe people and the world, and not to judge them. I always hope to position myself away from so-called conclusions. I would like to leave everything wide open to all the possibilities in the world.”
I'm hoping to do some day tripping out and about today, before winter decides to hit us again! Enjoy your day Cloudia.
