  1. The bird's looking at Pixie: "what are you looking at?"

  2. I've never heard of a general purpose duck before. 😄

  3. LOVE Pixie's chat with the birdie! (I would mistake every brownish duck in Hawaii as the nene duck.) Linda in Kansas

  4. Pixie is asking the finch to define "general purpose duck" or "general purpose bird" for that matter. What is the purpose of ducks and birds in the grand scheme of things? They aren't good for air travel, and apparently they can't be fed in that big Hawaiian park.

  5. I can sit on a boat and problems that seemed insurmountable just don’t seem that important anymore, bailing water does!

  6. Love all the quotes, but the first one is spot on. I feel that way every time we're on our boat.

    Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  12. I don't know that I would want to travel with a cat, but I definitely like a cat where I'm at! Beautiful photos - the warmth and sunshine - I'm ready for that!

  13. What a wonderful photo series. The duck caught my attention. It looks very similar to the female ducks of the wild duck (Anas platyrhynchos) in the Netherlands. Who knows, they might be related. Right now, the male ducks here are fighting over a female. They make a lot of noise. Thanks again for your beautiful photos, and I also love the quotes.

  16. Hello Cloudia:=)
    All that bright sunshine, Palm trees, and beautiful sky shots seem like a dream. Here it is still unseasonably cold and windy.The duck is sturdy and plump,and has nice markings You saved the best for last as always, what a great capture of Pixi and the little bird.
    All the best.
