A L O H A From Honolulu!
What is it about the Heavens
that draws us to look up?
For generations, centuries, (millennia?)
it seems we are drawn to
look up for answers, comfort
in times of despair, with
pleas for help, when we are
in need of grace, and
to give thanks.

Some of our greatest
historical and artistic treasures we
place with curators in museums;
others we take for walks.

Here Come My Groceries!
We have a lot of supply chain
issues these days.
And if you don’t believe that,
take a walk down the
‘common sense’ aisle
of our culture.

Self-Portrait Standing
Upon a Boulder
A boulder is a rock fragment that is
larger than 10.1 inches in diameter.
The older I get, the more I think
the only barometer for intelligence
is how kind you are. Cause it's
not easy to do. And we all
have stresses and goals and
failures and frustrations. So if
you can navigate a path in
your head to remain mindful,
kind to others, through years
of hardship and loss and the like?
That's genius to me.

ReplyDeleteSo true
ReplyDeleteLove the quote that kindness = genius! I also love the shot of you standing tall, although Pixie seems surprised at just how tall you are when you loom over her!
ReplyDeleteYour summer frames bring me energy at the end of a hard-working day!
ReplyDeleteGroceries? What more do you need besides mangoes, bananas, and pineapples?
ReplyDeleteNice self portrait and that cloud in the first photo also reminds me a bit to a jellyfish.
ReplyDeleteA lovely collection of photos, I love the sky, the doggies, your shadow shot and the tainbow.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day!
There is something about looking up.
ReplyDeleteCute doggies!
ReplyDeleteI love that kindness equals intelligence. Love the rainbow frame, Cloudia.
ReplyDeleteI love the rainbow, it gorgeous. The dogs look ready to move along.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful quotes, and the photos really match. Yay, rainbow.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much friends for spending time here with us!

...I always enjoyed seeing Young Brothers barges go by our condo.
ReplyDeleteMom takes her treasures out walking every day and loves it. That quote about commonsense made us laugh and sad all at the same time as it is so true.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday
Much💚love
Nice to see the weather being so nice, the pups enjoying a walk and the world going on.
ReplyDeleteLol, yes Tom
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty photos and that cloud is amazing. Is that cargo ship bringing in the common sense? Pixie, you look beautiful sweetie. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteLove your cat. I enjoyed your Post. Thank you for sharing.

Why do we like to look at the sky so much – a good question. Although today we can fly to the moon and use airplanes as a matter of course, the sky always remains mysterious when viewed from below. Warm regards and thank you for participating in Nature Thursday

Love your pictures and comments ... but to Criag, we don't have supply issues anymore, we have gouging and greed issues. Love the self portrait ... isn't it wonderful how our shadows thin us down :) Pixie, oh Pixie ... she is such a beautiful cat.
