I am of the sublimely indifferent class to holidays. That is to say I neither accept nor reject them I simply do not participate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post- I love that rainbow- well captured ;-)
ReplyDeleteChrissy at Manchester: a photo a day at Mancunian Wave
Wonderful shots as always, Cloudia. Was there ever a more lovely person than Mister Rogers? I think possibly not.
ReplyDeleteHi Cloudia! Your photos are very beautiful and the quotes are wise and gives food for thoughts!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I like holidays and if possible, I participate, because it's a reason to see the children.
Hi Cloudia, thanks for the lovely sentiments this morning, I'm sure you've guessed I feel likewise.. Love the rainbow skimming across the top of the tall buildings and although I don't know the work of M. Rogers he sounds like he knew how to communicate with children and as for the whimsical touches of Christmas around your world, magic!!
ReplyDeleteWell, it certainly looks more balmy there than here! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! You've gone from living atop the water to living in the middle of rainbows. Just like the Care Bears who live amongst the clouds and rainbows...you are a special, unique guide. (During my son's first plane flight around 4 years old, he saw the clouds outside his window and wondered where the Care Bears were...) Aloha, DrumMajor
ReplyDeleteFun to see Santa in a tropical setting. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess she is hoping Santa brings her car so she can hang the tail from the rearview mirror ...
ReplyDeleteSome lovely quotes AND a rainbow too.
ReplyDeleteIt ust be odd having Christmas in a country where it is warm.
ReplyDeleteI'll take a Double helping of the "Love"! The Love that should rise up above all the evil that seems to pervade our world, should we allow it!
ReplyDeleteLove conquers all!
Merry Christmas my Sis!

I also like that piece of tail...Hanging out of the purse I presume? Or maybe she is a woodland Ferret!!!
Flat rainbow but i like the Hawai Christmas threes and girls with tails.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
you know I'm a sucker for a rainbow. and yes, that tail is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe saw a bunch of those tails at the Ren Fest. Cool. I'd wear one if I wouldn't look like a wuss. I've always wanted a tail
ReplyDeletewhat a treat!
ReplyDeletelove your post!
alohaAA!!xo
What's an Iced Wassail?, please enlighten me. Quotes by Mother Teresa and P.J. O'Rourke get my vote :-).
ReplyDeleteYou capture rainbows soooo well. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCan't remember when last I send a postcard handwriten. Thank you for this wake-up entry. Please have a good Wednesday.

Ah, rainbows & sun-lit rain.
ReplyDeleteEmboldening. ~Mary
I love very much Christmas, dear Cloudia!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures.
:)))
Ciao!
the Middle English phrase wæs hæil, means literally 'good health' or 'be you healthy.'
ReplyDeleteThe winter drink of wassail is a hot mulled cider traditionally drunk as an integral part of the Christmas season.
Why am i not surprised that Charles wishes for a tail? LOL!
Thanks for making my day with YOUR really fun comments!! & Visits :-)
Fred Rogers had the right idea (s)!
ReplyDeletelove, love!
Somehow that Santa looks a little incongruous among the palms. We have similar difficulty getting 'into the Christmas spirit' here in Florida (but we'll have a week back 'up north' before Christmas to recover).
ReplyDeleteLovely photos (gorgeous rainbow !).
Aloha !
Totally fun post! The shopper with a tail is a cutie. You find the best stuff to share with us. Thank you for you!
ReplyDeletethanks for the early gifts!!!!
ReplyDeleteAloha Cloudia! Our family are still big fans of Mr. Rogers. ...and your post does wonders for waking the spirit of the season for me! I too still feel much like that little girl waiting and watching to see all the seasons offerings coming about...it's more about the little touches here and there...then the big over done ones...and driving about in search of lights hung outside with so much care in so many neighborhoods!
ReplyDeleteHello Cloudia! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas season- Even if the mails a bit late!
ReplyDeleteAll mine are going to be late, won't have $$ for another few weeks here-
Have Fun-
Aloha!

ReplyDeletealoha!!
sweet- you are the 3 Magi in this scene!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the festive spirit weaving it's way through your city...
ReplyDeleteWhat did that girl have in her bag?
My ex told me on more than one occassion, when we ever happened to discuss Mr. Rogers, that he creeped him out as a kid - something about his voice. Nice post. Love the rainbow - one of my fave things. Cheers!!
ReplyDeleteNice subtle hints at Christmas, apart from the giant Santa of course!
ReplyDeleteTotally cool rainbow shot!! Never get tired of seeing those. Aloha from windward side :)
