Like Stars

A L O H A  From

H O N O L U L U

The more often we see
the things around us -
even the beautiful and
wonderful things -
the more they become
invisible to us. That is
why we often take for
granted the beauty of
this world: the flowers,
the trees, the birds,
the clouds - even those
we love. Because we
see things so often,
we see them less and less.
Joseph B. Wirthlin

Art, made by a
living soul will continue
to be a mystery
as long as human
consciousness is a mystery.
Solomon Enos, artist

The authentic self
is the soul made visible.

Petals unfurl
With laughter at dawn,
Winter’s chill swept
And finally gone.
In a sunlit hush,
Colors ignite
Hope pirouettes
Into morning light.

Dreams are like stars.
You may never
touch them,
but if you follow them
they will lead you
to your destiny.

  1. Your poem beautifully captures that awakening, as nature dances back to life and invites us to notice it anew.

  2. I was thinking that the little girl does yoga about the same way I do, and then I saw Pixie in her meditative pose and thought: "That's my yoga guru!" Great post today. I love that shadowy artsy shot with all the greenery.

  13. I especially love the shadows you captured in the second photo. That little girl doing yoga with her mom is precious. It made a great T Tuesday photo, too. Thanks for sharing Pixie, your photos, and your poem with us for T this Tuesday.
