A: An Antique!

It's been said before,
but if REALLY grasped
you could save a LOT
of the energy
that you
may waste every day.

Here it is:

99%
of what we worry about
turns out

Dancing as Fast as You Can?

A L O H A !

Click on the Kittens!
"I find love much like a mirror.
When I love another, he becomes my mirror
 and I become his,
and reflected in each other's love
 we see infinity!"

Leo Buscaglia

Sky is full of sweep
and drama
If you really look
there is more going on
than you could possibly take in.

And it's constantly
changing.
The Hawaiians of old
could read the skies.

I must say:
after 25 years
under these,
 they are beginning
to speak
to me.

" I still get wildly enthusiastic
about little things...
I play with leaves.
I skip down the street
and run against the wind.  "

Leo Buscaglia

 Life is busy!
That's a truism of modern life.

Many people feel
that they are on a treadmill
of never completed
tasks & obligations.

They are never
here
because they are thinking
about the next
place.

The voyaging Hawaiians of old
were fully present.
"Be here now"
was not a slogan to them
it was self-evident,
a way of being
in the world.

When they voyaged open ocean,
thousands of miles,
with only stars, waves, birds,
knowledge
to guide them,
they spoke of
"Raising Islands."

Through their Mana
their Spiritual Energy
they brought the mountain
to Mohammed.

They followed the right,
the Pono way
of being
and acting.

They blessed and became one
with the canoe,
the crew,
the sea
and sky.

And by maintaining this
presence
they brought the islands
to them.

Over the horizon
first as a bird,
or cloud
or swell,
they raised the island
to which they voyaged.

So be in your present.
Don't 'chase'
Live this very moment.

And when the next arrives
live that one
as well.

And all will be
well.

Bless Us!

Walk in Ala Moana Park

ALOHA !

Go ahead and click on the photos
Slow Down! This isn't the 'mainland.'

Let's walk in Ala Moana Park
before her parking lots are closed
and become staging areas
for APEC security. . .

Nature is so nurturing, welcoming . . .
SAY! is that tree SNEERING at us?

He's a mean drunk!

" Bacchus, n.: A convenient (nature) deity
invented by the ancients
as an excuse for getting drunk. "

Ambrose Bierce

" Bacchus hath drowned more men
than Neptune (god of the seas)."

Thomas Fuller

And speaking of seas,

Ala Moana is a beach park.

Outrigger Canoes at Rest

Pupukahi i holomua

" Unite to move forward."

Each Hawaiian in the canoe
has to pull together on the call
for the canoe to move forward,
quickly forward.

Each canoe has a soul that is awakened
and reawakened
with blessings.

Anyone who talks to their vehicle
 should understand this!

They all have given names as well

I ka 'olelo no ke ola, i ka 'olelo no ka make.

" In speech is life, in speech is death."

" Imua means “go forward” in Hawaiian.
Most often said with an  exclamation point:

Red Rovers

These are not Hawaiian Outrigger Canoes.  What?

Ah! Here he is with his head ON.  (At Splendor of China)

" As soon as you trust yourself,
you will know how to live. "

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe,
Faust

Isn't it wonderful
just to walk
aimlessly
in the park
together
like this?

Thanks for being here today!

Round the Rainbow Way

A L O H A !

click, CLICK I say on these rainbows
It seems we have rainbows every morning.
Here's the ever popular "double."

" The sun, the earth,
love, friends,
our very breath
are parts of the banquet. "

Rebecca H. Davis

This one touched ground right beneath my lanai (balcony)

"... and it's that if I ever go looking
for my heart's desire again,
I won't look any further
than my own backyard;
because if it isn't there,
I never really lost it to begin with. "

Dorothy,
Wizard of OZ

Look!

" Walk on a rainbow trail;
walk on a trail of song,
and all about you will be beauty.
There is a way out of every dark mist,
over a rainbow trail. "

Andra Davis

the whole circle!

" Somewhere, over the rainbow,
skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
really do come true. "

E.y Harburg
Over The Rainbow

can we really see BOTH ends?!

"When one is willing
and able
the gods join in."

Aeschylus

Yes! See it reaching down into the intersection?

" Toto,
I've a feeling
we're not in Kansas anymore.
We must be
over the rainbow! "

Dorothy

Hawaii is the land of rainbows.
We even have
MoonBows.
And, as I say,
we have friendly rainbows
on the mountain side
just about every morning .

But I have
N E V E R
seen the
Whole Circle of the Rainbow
before
!

You know. . .
Seems like
I have always lived
in the future.

That is, I have seen
difficulties ahead,
when conventional wisdom
didn't.

I won't bore you
with a list of world affairs
over which I have been
vilified,
and then proven
right,
by events, results,
history.

Long have I been worried
about rising inequality
here in America.

Let's call it
the Problem of Greed.

Finally,
conventional wisdom
is noticing this root
of our many world problems.

As usual,
I find myself seeing
ahead;

And what I am seeing
at long last
looks positive.

Enough people changed minds
and the Berlin Wall came down
without a shot.

The Next Big Thing
will be revolution
in how we treat
each other-
ALL over the
world.

Elites
are
over.

And
they
know it.

That's why they are looting
public wealth
on their way
out
the
door
of history.

I've been right before.

We will
overcome greed
and politics
with smart
love.

You might call it
Aloha.

Perhaps we see the rainbow's end
 with it's legendary treasure
at last.

And not only that
we discover that
the rainbow is not just
"up  there"
in the sky.

No,

The rainbow is a
trail,
a full circle
that
we could not know
or see
before.

The rainbow of fulfillment
begins to form around us
even now.

The
Rainbow of True Wealth
IS
Us
!
" When the Earth is sick,
the animals will begin to disappear,
when that happens,
The Warriors of the Rainbow
will come to save them. "

Chief Seattle
