Clouds pass across the glass
they do not stay
but why does my heart sway?
Light shifting, never held
Outside and Inside
meet, dance and meld.
The clouds move on
across painted smiles
and in this moment - moment
everything feels worthwhile.
The passing and the staying
moving sky, softly praying
this living day, never aging
look again—
the clouds are gone.
As if time folded
and left a crease
the feeling remains
and wonders never cease
Right there, now
reflected on the glass

Diamond Head
Diamond Head at morning
does not need to rush—
but breathes the coral light,
as gold unfurls along the beach.
The sky leans soft
against her shoulders,
pale blue steeped in hush
while she readies herself,
another dawn
before the day begins.
Standing barefoot in that hour,
feel the sand's embrace.
The island knows your name
but sings it in silence instead.
Never say there is
nothing beautiful in
the world anymore.
There is always something
to make you wonder
in the shape of a tree,
the trembling of a leaf.
Albert Schweitzer
Oh cat, I'd say, or pray:
be-ootiful cat!
Delicious cat! Exquisite cat!
Satiny cat!
Cat like a soft owl,
cat with paws like moths,
jewelled cat, miraculous cat!
Cat, cat, cat, cat.
Doris Lessing
