A L O H A !
" I have always, essentially,
been waiting.
Waiting to become
something else, waiting
to be that person
I always thought
I was on the verge of becoming,
waiting for that life
I thought I would have. . .
In my head,
I was always
one step away.
In high school,
I was biding my time
until I could become
the college version of myself,
the one my mind could see so clearly.
In college, the post-college
“adult” person was
always looming in front
of me, smarter, stronger,
more organized.
Then the married person,
then the person I’d become
when we have kids. . .
" I love movies about
“The Big Moment” – the game or
the performance or
the wedding day or
the record deal,
the stories that split time
with that key event, and
everything is reframed,
" John Lennon once said,
“Life is what happens
when you’re busy
making other plans.”
The Big Moment, unfortunately,
is an urban myth.
Life is a collection of
a million, billion moments,
tiny little moments and choices,
like a handful of luminous,
glowing pearls. It takes
so much time, and
so much work. . .
Linking to
"- But this is what I’m finding,
in glimpses and flashes:
this is it.. . .This is it.
Normal, daily life ticking
by on our streets and sidewalks,
in our houses and apartments,
in our beds and at our dinner tables,
in our dreams and prayers
and fights and secrets –
this pedestrian life is
the most precious thing
any of use will ever experience.”

I'm cool with a moment by moment life. Think--all those lifetimes melding into one to become the whole.
John Lennon well quoted here.
Those are wise words, Cloudia. Ordinary live can be so extraordinary if we just live in the moment!
Aloha Cloudia, these words certainly frame over everyday life with all the moments and stories that split time and enrich our world. Beautiful post.
thanks for stopping by and watching that sweet cow.. i like the last quote the best. that is truly life, billions of small moments all knitted together. i am a pessimist and have always waited for the next shoe to drop.
How true! We need to savour the ordinary moments because added together they make the super one. I bet even many of the most famous humans are still waiting for some single magical moment.
Aloha, Cloudia! wonderful post and images. I love the Lennon quote. My moments seem to be flying by. Have a happy day, filled with awesome moments.

After the tragic unexpected occurrence in our family I think we all make the most of everyday, you never know when something so random could take it all away in an instance! Wonderful advice here.
We're all playing that waiting game of sorts. Life just happens.
Love your thoughts today. Moment by moment we are... Have a glorious day!
Wonderful thoughts indeed, and great photos. Greetings!
The big moment is definitely a myth. Most of my waiting times has been waiting while under the control of someone else (say for a meeting) until I can get back to doing what I want to do.
Nice post, Cloudia !
Aloha !
These comments are like the last verse of the poem! Well done each of YOU!
I SO enjoy seeing you here
The moments are a gift aren't they? One we all too often don't recognise.
Stunning Sky photos. Have a fabulous day!
I'm guilty of waiting but am trying to appreciate things as they happen and enjoy! Thanks, Cloudia! ;-)
Wise remarks, and such beautiful images, Cloudia!

Lovely shots. And yes - life is those small moments and what we do with them...
I love the first photo! There are many small things to enjoy each and every day. Carpe diem!
You only have now to live so live it to the full
I love the video! With hubby having cancer I take each day...
Thanks Friends
Shauna says it well. The moment I stopped waiting was the best moment for me.
Yes, all quite true.
