“What do you do there,
moon, in the sky?
Tell me what you
do, silent moon.
When evening comes you
rise and go contemplating
wastelands; then you set.”

"A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His bill will hold more
than his belican,
He can take in his beak
Enough food for a week
But I'm damned if I see

"The rollin' hills seem
to do something for you
to do something for you
It seems they're meant to be
looked on by you
looked on by you
And when the sunshine
is doing it's thing
is doing it's thing
Then you know that
all you see is true
all you see is true
Every day every night the
same old groovy feelin'
same old groovy feelin'
People that live a lot
love a lot
love a lot
And everything there
is so good
is so good
Look at California
Look at California"

Aloha, Cloudia. The pelican is a very amazing bird! Have a happy weekend!
I adore pelicans. Yours are different to ours - but both are definitely prehistoric looking.
Tres joli ode to la Luna :) there's nothing as odd as a pelican! Lovely rolling hills, California is pretty cool :)
I love the lights across the bay and the pelican, complete with limerick. The hills of California are quite different from Diamond Head, aren't they?
At first I aw North Bay, and then realized it was't Ontario's NB, since they have snow!!!
aloha!
The moon dreams of days to come
The moon is also a part of you and I and vice-versa.
Beautiful images, Cloudia!
Have a Happy Day!!
Peace :)
Hello Cloudia, pretty sky shots and beautiful view of the California hills. I love the Pelicans, they and their bills are amazing. Great post! Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
Love the flying pelican.
Greetings,
Filip
Thanks Friends!
The pelican stands out in particular. I've never seen one in the wild.
Neat pictures! I thought the limerick was by Ogden Nash but I just checked and I was wrong.
Cool pelican and poem to match!
