I remember my last visit to San Francisco (far too long ago) but one of my favorite things, besides talking to the sea lions and watching the street artists in Fisherman's Wharf, was seeing all the bright sun-filled poppies that were growing everywhere! Even along the highway. Our state flower here is the Lady Slipper and you can rarely even find one!
The poppy is a delight.
