Pandemic Paradise
After an awful September,
Hawaii infections are low again.
Masks remain, but we are all feeling relief.
Parents watched their kids play
High School sports
in person this weekend. And
University of Hawaii football hosted
fans at the stadium for the
first time this season - or last.
Tourists will return as the Governor
welcomes them back. And winter.
As elsewhere, employers are having trouble
with staffing. How nice that workers
have a bit of power now!

I am much less likely to feel lonely when I am alone than when I am in company.
@Sue - Yep.
And it is nice that workers have a little power. But you know who's going to get the blame when prices start going up for no reason except corporate greed.

I am alone about 95% of the time and I am never lonely. I have my own "Pixies" to keep me company. I really like that mural. It looks like it is quite large, Cloudia.

Tha Satre quote is interesting - he also said "Hell is other people" so it all sort of ties in. I love the Fitzgerald one too. Good finds. Glad your numbers are down I think it's probably smart to keep sticking with the masks for awhile until this whole thing goes away. It's a pain but little intrusion to be able to keep going out and about.

I enjoy my own company in solitude. Never mind the naysayers who are afraid that solitude is fearful lonliness. Love the surfing sumo wrestler juggling a spam snack.
