Yellow Bird by The Ventures on Grooveshark

   " You can fly away,
In the sky away
You more lucky
 than me."

 Yellow Bird,
Jamaican Tradtional

[ I believe this is a

Citril Finch
also called a
Corsican Finch
 (Serinus citrinella) ]

" The moment a little boy
is concerned with which is a jay
and which is a sparrow,
he can no longer see the birds
 or hear them sing. "

Eric Berne

" The sparrow that is twittering
on the edge of my balcony
is calling up to me this moment
 a world of memories
that reach over half my lifetime,
and a world of hope
 that stretches farther
 than any flight
of sparrows. "

Donald G. Mitchell

    " Did your lady friend
leave the nest again?
That is very bad,
Makes me feel so sad. "

" Nothing
 can bring you peace
but yourself. "

Ralph Waldo Emerson

" Wish that I was a yellow bird,
I fly away with you.
But I am not a yellow bird
So I sit, nothing else to do. "

Jamaican Folk Tune

" But time growing old

teaches all things. "

Aeschylus

Since Dad passed
a lot about my life
about me
has become
clearer
to me.

The Story of Me
comes into focus
an insight at a
time.

Comedy & tragedy
obstacles surmounted,
years spent
(wasted?)
opportunities unnoticed
(lost!).

But I'm not sad
about all that.

It is
what
It Is.

And that,
the IS-
not the
was, or should have been,
or wasn't-

The IS
just is,
and it's alright
with me.

Some war is over.

Most humans
throughout our history
have felt the ancestors
to be important
in daily life
and destiny.
Care is given
to remember
and honor them.

I feel my Dad
moving Heaven
and Earth
for me.

Thank YOU
for  visiting!

Love's Green Lanterns

A  L  O  H  A !
" Changing the world
begins
with the very personal process
of changing yourself,

the only place you can begin
is where you are,

and the only time you can begin
 is always now. "

Gary Zukav

" Great deeds
 are usually wrought
 at great risks. "

Herodotus

" A power struggle
collapses
when you withdraw
your energy
 from it.

Power struggles

 when you change your intention
 from winning
to learning
about yourself. "

Each one has
a Soul

Even when
they themselves
do not know it,

believe it,

act like it.

Focusing
on the symptoms
of that disconnect
doesn't help
in ANY way-

Goes.

Forth Going

A  L  O  H  A !

Moving Day

“We must be willing
to let go
of the life we have planned,
 so as to accept
 the life
 that is waiting for us.”

 Joseph Campbell

" We cannot change anything
until we accept it.
Condemnation
does not liberate,
it oppresses. "

C. G. Jung

and returns home
to find it. "

 George Moore

Red-crested Cardinal

“How do geese
know when to fly to the sun?

Who tells them the seasons?

How do we, humans
know when it is time to move on?

As with the migrant birds,
 so surely with us,
there is a voice within
if only we would listen to it,
that tells us certainly
 when to go forth
into the unknown.”

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Last Dance

ALOHA, Donna Summer

Upside Down by Donna Summer on Grooveshark

 It was a time,
what a time it was;
New Liberation
and no AIDS yet,
or even GRID.

Dancing was freedom
Dancing was who we were,
what we were about.
Night after night,
every night
of the week.
The "General Public"
knew nothing of it!

 It was a secret,
on the back streets.
There was
NO RAINBOW FLAG
as yet.

But there was
DANCING.

Hip people
can roll their eyes,
but back then,
before John Travolta
or the BEE GEES
heard the beat,
it was
ours.

The "Club Kids"
and the "Rave Kids"
didn't
invent
ecstatic dancing.

We didn't invent it either,
but we
re-discovered
and lived it!

It goes back
to the beginning.

Every Gay Bar
in the world
wrapped up the night
with Donna Summer's
"Last Dance."

I'm sure many still do.
They will tonight
for sure.

Tonight
in Heaven
a LOT of people
dear to me
who died TOO young
are dancing their
 ASSES OFF!

Get me a drink friends,
cause I'm gonna rip it up
when I get there!
Last Dance (Long Version) by Donna Summer on Grooveshark

And So Do I

A L O H A !
There are no perfect people
to our way of seeing -
But each of us
is well pleasing,
priceless,
and perfecting
to the eyes of
LOVE.

 when your imagination
 is out of focus.  "

Mark Twain

R E D

A  L  O  H  A !

“Out of the ash
 I rise
with my red hair ”

 Sylvia Plath

" It was a town of red brick,
or of brick that would have been red
if the smoke and ashes had allowed it;
 but, as matters stood
it was a town of unnatural red
 and black
as the painted face of a savage. "

 CharlesJohn Huffam Dickens

" In the house of words
was a table of colors.

They offered themselves
 in great fountains
and each poet
 took the color he needed:
lemon yellow or sun yellow,
 ocean blue or smoke blue,
crimson red, blood red
wine red. "

Eduardo Galeano
