Technicolor Hawaii SKIES

A L O H A !
Sky Full of Monkeys

" Laughter is
 carbonated holiness"
 Anne Lamott

When small men
attempt great enterprises,
 they always end
by reducing them
to the level of
their own mediocrity. "
                      Napoleon Bonaparte

" The only battle to win
 is the battle within "
                              Ali Vincent

"The best colour
 in the whole world
 is the one
 that looks good
 on you."
                         Coco Chanel

"The secret of
change is
 to focus all of
your energy,
 not on fighting the old,
but on building
the new."
                  Socrates

Yeah, but this is a sunset!

Every Morning
the sun rises,
and I find YOUR Comments,
like mana,
dew from the
nice of the world;
Like gaily wrapped
gifts!

Thank You Fondly,

Meeting Three Sisters

A   L   O   H   A !
click on these photos, they won't bite
“What you meet
 in another being
 is the projection
of your own
level of
evolution.”
             Ram Dass

"Sisters don't need words.
They have perfected a
language of snarls
 and smiles and frowns
 and winks -

expressions of shocked
surprise and incredulity
and disbelief.
Sniffs and snorts
and gasps and sighs -
that can undermine
any tale you're telling."
                                     Pam Brown

" It is amazing
 how much love
and laughter
 they bring into our lives
 and even how much
closer we become
with each other
 because of them.”
               John Grogan

Lightening in a bottle
tightening up the throttle
joying in the mottled
days of Summer Time!

Your sweet visits
are certainly
no bummer!

Love the texture
of your life,
refuse to worry-
catastrophize
or strife.

Untangle the knots
patiently as you go
melting away
the rock-hard snow.

In the gravest
of times,
Angels Always
Arrived.

[After all:
I'm still alive]

What's on your heart
today?

UNIQUE

A   L   O   H   A  !
" I would have written
 of me on my stone:
 I had a lover's quarrel
 with the world. "
                                  Robert Frost

"A horse walks into a bar.
 The bartender says,
 'Why the long face?'"

What weird craft is this?

" A thing is unique,
or not unique;
there are no degrees
of uniqueness. "
                 The King's English
                                Fowlers, 1906

How do You find a very special friend?
UNIQUE up on them!

Around the middle
of the 16th Century
the word  'unique'
entered English,
from the Latin;
UNICUS
literally:
'Single of it's kind'
What we'd call:
The one and only -

([/\])

Each of YOU
brings uniqueness.
Thank YOU
                 warmly, cloudia

News Fasting

A L O H A !
" You yourself,
as much as anybody
 in the entire universe,
 deserve your love
 and affection. "
                Buddha

Tiny People on a Tiny Bridge -OR Am I Dreaming?

" There are very few
monsters
that warrant the
fear we have
of them."
       Andre " Le Giant" Gide

"The light of the future
 casts the shadows
of tomorrow."
                 Sun Ra

([:])

You and I care;
We are not sociopaths.

When we see others
in pain
we feel pain too.

Heartbreak, we know,
causes brain activity
identical to physical
pain.

People, and animals
even die of a broken
heart.

Today our world
is hyper-linked.
And thanks for that,
or I would not
even know
Y O U.

But it also means
that we are exposed
to war, violence,
intransigence,
ignorance,
intolerance and greed
24/7 with
each breaking news
story.

We must be aware,
we must vote
and share
our truth.

BUT NOT
All Day / Every Day.

The first meal
of the day
is called
"Break Fast."

Digestion is best
when given regular
rest.

Your heart,
brain,
and soul
too.

After leaving Your
"Hello" in comments,
visit another online
friend, play with
you family.

Just rest
from news
for awhile.

Whatever is good,
or beautiful
or true-
feast on THAT.

After all:
We ARE what
we eat!

I love you,

Emotionally True Pancake

A   L   O   H   A !
"Sit down before fact
 as a little child,
be prepared to
give up every
preconceived notion...
or you shall learn
 nothing."
                       Thomas H. Huxley

"I have never
been hurt
by anything
I didn't say."
                 Calvin Coolidge

 "There ain't no pancake
so thin
it ain't got two sides. ..."

"The first pancake
is always lumpy."
 Russian Proverb

([\./])

When I worked with teens
I was very invested in
giving them my attention
and believing in them.

Sometimes they complained
about some person or situation:

The principal said-
Mom said-

Yes, Mom,
or the Principal
can be rude,
or even wrong.

B U T

By going off half-cocked,
based on 1 person's version
I have learned to my
embarrassment
that there are
ALWAYS
at LEAST two sides
to everything,
two versions of every story.

I have learned
to withhold judgement
instead of reacting
passionately.

(What was that Grandma
said about counting
to ten?)

My version of events
is Emotionally True
to me.

Yours to You.

Yet, those truths
are but parts
of a bigger
T r  u  t  h.

I have learned
not to argue with
Emotional Truths.
They are facts.

It is a rare person
who can see beyond
their own
Emotional Truths
to walk a mile
in the Other's shoes.

I work towards being that person.
Join us.

Together we can
change the
Way the World
Works!

Who's with me?

                      Fondly, cloudia

Bonus Info:

No matter how flat you make a pancake,
it still has two sides.
Step into the other person's shoes
and try to see their side of the story.
Try to understand the other person
and why they acted in a hurtful way.
Try not to judge them.
Conversely, examine your role in the feud.
Did you do or saying something hurtful?
Did you promise something
and then back out of your agreement?
Keep in mind
the other person
probably has some valid points that you need
to weigh and consider.
