make you happy is
being happy with
who you are, and
not who people
think you are."

how you look is to do
with how you feel about
yourself and your life.
Happiness is the
greatest beauty secret."

lies in the power

"The cactus thrives
in the desert
while the fern thrives
in the wetland.
The fool will try
to plant them
in the same
flowerbox...
The child will turn
it around properly so
that the fern is in
the shade, and
not the cactus."
Vera Nazarian
"The flight from boredom
is the mother of all art."

Driving around the
neighborhoods of Novato CA
one see's great natural
beauty, hills, meadows,
horses. . . ART!
We have long admired
these steel cactus, and
spinning kinetic
sculptures adorning
the front lawn of a
nice house in
a pleasant
Novato neighborhood.
"Let's knock on the door.
Let's leave a note!"
I wanted to know.
Marin Open Studios
Was on Saturday,
and sure enough
the house with the
sculptures had a
welcoming M.O.S. sign!
