hope is a cheap

Happy Stance

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Everybody born comes

from the Creator

trailing wisps of glory.

Maya Angelou

 There is a continuous

creating going on.

This energy is pouring

into every cell of

our being right now,

every board and brick

of the buildings

we sit in, every

grain of sand and

wisp of wind.

   Joseph Campbell

What a strange thing!

To be alive

Kobayashi Issa

Let us find

inner freedom

in each lucky moment

that we encounter,

like a sun-basking butterfly

that finds peace on a

cherry blossom petal.

Erik Pevernagie

Did you see the small lizard

on the window sill?

I didn't, till seeing the photo later!

A Happy-Stance!

Never stay up on

the barren heights

of cleverness, but

come down into the

green valleys

of silliness. Wittgenstein

Time Setters

A L O H A From Honolulu! 6:37pm

In North America,

a coalition of businessmen

and scientists decided

on time zones, and

in 1883, U.S. and

Canadian railroads

adopted four

(Eastern, Central,

Mountain & Pacific)

to streamline service...

...The shift was not

universally well received.

Evangelical Christians were

among the strongest

opponents, arguing

“time came from God

and railroads were

not to mess with it."

New York Times *

The trick to forgetting

the big picture

is to look at

everything

close-up.

 Chuck Palahniuk

Every human being is

an artist, a freedom being,

called to participate

in transforming and

reshaping the conditions,

thinking and structures

that shape and

inform our lives.

Moon Viewing Honolulu

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Who has seen the rising

moon break out of

the clouds at midnight

has been present

like an archangel at

the creation of light

and of the world.

How like a Queen comes forth the lonely Moon From the slow-opening curtains of the clouds, Walking in beauty to her midnight throne!... George Croly

The birds, the moon and the clouds

have an important mission:

To make humankind turn

our eyes towards the skies!

And so leave our own

little local world and focus

on something bigger,

the universe!

Some mature folk

have forgotten

how youth feels;

some remember;

to be always young

Everything that's really

worthwhile in life

came to us free;

our mind, our soul, our body,

our hopes, our dreams,

our ambitions, our intelligence,

our love of family and

children and friends. All

these priceless possessions

are free, but the things

that cost us money

are actually very cheap

and can be replaced

at any time. Earl Nightingale

What one can see

out in the sunlight is

always less interesting

life lives, life dreams,

A great attitude does

much more than

turn on the lights

in our worlds;

it seems to magically

connect us to all sorts of

serendipitous opportunities

that were somehow

absent before we changed. Earl Nightingale
