All of us are marinating in a world
or news, ideas, and expectations.
The mind never stops telling us
a story we call: How It Is.
All of this is fed into our subconscious
which uncritically brings more of the
same into our thoughts, and remarkably
into our experience! Modern psychology
has shown that we see and experience
largely what we believe and
EXPECT, interpreting
people and situations in ways that
suit our categories.
How much nicer it
is to notice the Good, and Beautiful
all day long! But Daily life
- especially today -
is set up so that we are basting
in news, contention, traffic,
and issues All Day Long.
And then we
take it to bed with us!
Too many of us
would rather be right in our negative
expectations and judgements,
get more of a payoff from it,
than to consider a different way.
And more than consider it,
we can put it into action!
Tomorrow:
How To Do It.

Very good!
So very true, our thoughts and attitudes have everything to do with our happiness and our successes. Lately I've been switching over to music on my drive to work, and shutting out Morning Joe and CNN. For survival!

When will Republicans realize this and come over the correct side! 😄
I forgot about 19EE and 19EF. I heard my computer say Khmer and fix this.
Thanks friends 💓
Great post! I love the shot of the rainbow and all your cool thoughts.
Lots to ponder - and lots of beauty too. Thank you.
Wisely said.
