Rose Ringed Parakeet

A L O H A From Honolulu!

Let go of what
you cannot change.
Stop reacting.

Outrage is a

Give you precious
attention to
what builds you up
and enhances you.

The rose-ringed parakeet,
also known as the
ring-necked parakeet, is
a medium-sized parrot in
the genus Psittacula, of
the family Psittacidae.

They are not
native to Hawaii,
but like it here,
and are spreading.

It was one frayed rope
thrown across the
chasm between us.
Not enough to get across,
but maybe just enough
to tell that it wasn't
as wide as I'd
originally thought.

what I do when I am
happy and when I'm sad.
I sang because it is
who I am when I am
being the best possible
version of me.

It's good advice to stop reacting. I confess I do that to all the craziness in the news.
