When we recall Christmas past,

we usually find that

the simplest things ~ not the great occasions ~

give off the greatest

glow of happiness. Bob Hope

Life is made up of small pleasures.
Happiness is made up of
those tiny successes.
The big ones come too infrequently.
And if you don't collect all
these tiny successes, the big
ones don't really mean anything.
Norman Lear

The longer I live,
the more deeply I learn that
love whether we call it
friendship or family or
romance is the work of
mirroring and magnifying
each other's light. James Baldwin

The best way to cheer yourself
is to try to cheer someone else up.
Mark Twain

Thanks for the uplifting post! It is one of the "small things" that brighten my world every day. Pixie is definitely reflecting love and light from herself and others.

That Norman Lear quote is so true. Too bad we can't always know that when we are young. Lovely photos again for T, and I hope you and Pixie have a great T day too. hugs-Erika

I am reminded of the hymn writer who wrote It is Well with My Soul after he lost his wife and family at sea. At least tat is the story as I remember it.

You didn't tell us about the couple in the vividly colored shirts -- what were they doing and what do their clothes tell us?

You have excelled yourself with the quotes this time Cloudia. So good! Cheering up other people certainly helps. And tiny successes are the way to go.
