With Joy Confidence & Humility

 A L O H A From Honolulu!
Walk into the room as if
God sent you there.

On leafy canvas, grooves unfold,
A story whispered, green and bold.
In swirling lines that sunlight weaves,
Secrets sing on emerald leaves.

A recent study suggests that just visiting a variety of different locations is associated with a higher sense of wellbeing in people with depression or anxiety. Researchers found the more varied locations people visit, the better they feel about their emotional and psychological well being– even if their mental health symptoms
are still there.

Daikoku, in Japanese mythology,
one of the Shichi-fuku-jin
(Seven Gods of Luck);
god of wealth, guardian of farmers.
He is depicted in legend and art
as dark-skinned, stout, carrying a
wish-granting mallet in his right hand,
a bag of precious things slung over
his back, and sitting on two rice bags

The earth is resting,
and I am in need of rest, too.
In winter, I feel at home in
the silences of the world.

Thanks for taking us on a trip to new places today. I love the groovy leaves and the Chinese and Japanese sculptures, but most of all I love Pixie looking beautiful for her adoring fans.

I would like a wish-granting mallet. Maybe we should send one to the correct politicians. Linda in Kansas

We visit different places all the time, no wonder we are so happy! We love winter because of the cold and snow, but the darkness forces us to all slow down and relax which is wonderful.

yes, I agree we need to visit our higher self.

"visiting a variety of different locations"
But I would have to leave the basement to do that. That's asking a lot.
