200 Feet Tall

Tropical Traffic Emerald giants line the street, Iron horses inch along and compete
Palm trees sway in sun-kissed skies,
Mirrored on a windshield, *sigh*
Contrasts dance, a curious scene,
Paradise glimpsed, on metal sheen.
But wait, a uku
lele's tune,
Spills from a truck, a joyful croon!
 Paradise is still there, waiting
beyond the traffic jam.

The kapok tree, Ceiba pentandra,
or silk-cotton tree,
grows up to 200 feet tall,
10 feet across at the trunk!

of the finch family Fringillidae,
closely related to the

have evolved features unlike
those present in any other finch.
