When an artist dies,
God lets them
paint the sky to
say their goodbye.

In our home this treasured sight, Carved with care, my wooden delight. Rustic charm from Eastern land, Brought to life by artisan hand.
Your silent gaze, so wise and calm, Brings to my space a soothing balm. Japanese bear so quaint and strong, To my heart, you'll always belong. You piece of art and cultural tie, Your presence lifts my spirits high. Dear wooden friend from far away, You brighten my world every day!

 It was a brown bear,
with human looking feet,
stealing several carved statues!
Exclaimed Mr. Chan, the artist:
"Stop boy-foot bear with teaks of Chan!"

Why can’t we all paint the sky?

I like the last, shadowy photo. Shadowy is the wrong word, but it’s all I’ve got. 😀

What a beautiful and poetic tribute to art, nature, and the connection we feel with meaningful objects! The lines about the artist painting the sky as a goodbye are so deeply moving, and the description of your treasured wooden piece adds a warm, personal touch. It’s amazing how objects can hold such deep significance and carry a sense of peace and connection with different cultures.

I hope you are having a great weekend. You are invited to read my new post: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/03/the-breathtaking-adventures-we-had-in-glencoe.html Thank you.

Pixie's poem about the bear is marvelous. What does she think about the blue dragon head?

Dear Cloudia, it's true that heaven is often painted by artists. And now I see that there are is a cat that creates artistic poems about artfully carved bears 😍. The photo of the shadow lizard is really something very special!
I'm sending a loving cuddle to Pixie.
All the best from Austria, Traude
