Speaks To Me

 A L O H A  From

H O N O L U L U

Hope may seem

A fragile thing,
Until you truly
Hear it sing.

It hums beneath
All ache and fear,
A voice your spirit
Learns to hear.

It blooms
Where tears
Have touched
The ground,
Of mercy woven,
Soft, profound.

Once you've felt
Its steady flame,
You’ll never walk
Through darkness
The same.

Hope may seem
A fragile thing,
Until you hear
Its shoreline sing.

Rising with
The breathing tide,
A quiet strength
You'll find inside.

One day, your light
will silence the darkness,
and you will be
surrounded by the
beauty within.

You can make more friends
in two months by becoming
interested in other people
than you can in two years
by trying to get other people
interested in you.

When a friend
speaks to me,
whatever they say
is interesting.

The earth is resting,
and I am in need of rest, too.
In winter, I feel at home in
the silences of the world.

I enjoyed the whole post, but the beach photo was the best thing I've seen on my gloomy, cold day.

These reflections and poems beautifully celebrate the quiet power of hope, the inner light we each carry, and the simple yet profound art of truly listening to others

Aloha Cloudia and Pixie too, thank you for the beach view, it's so warming to see. Wise quotes and brings the speak less and listen more to mind as well as paying attention to everything, so very wise. Love to you and sweet-faced Pixie is a joy as animals have the best of expressions.
