Healing Moments

 A  L  O  H  A  From Honolulu!

Be patient where you

sit in the dark. The

dawn is coming.

              Rumi

May we have communion

with God in the

secret of our hearts, and

find Him to be to us

as a little sanctuary.

Charles Spurgeon

We carry inside us

the wonders we seek

outside us.

Mangoes & Breadfruit: SPRING

A face is like the

outside of a house, and

most faces, like most houses,

give us an idea of what

we can expect to find inside.

Residences Honolulu

 A   L   O   H   A  !

The shiny tower is Century Center Link

When you set a good

example to the world,

you become a flag

waving on the skies

of the entire world!

Light, God's eldest daughter,

is a principal beauty

in a building.

Thomas Fuller

Waikiki Landmark Link

I like  the two joined towers of this building.

They resemble a Torii Gate right

at the entry to Waikiki.

It was built to appeal to

the high end Japanese

visitor/resident just as the

Japanese financial bubble burst.

Gratitude is happiness

doubled by wonder.

Homeless Camp Under Blue Tarp. I like how a
toggle through the balustrade fastens the roof.

You have to be

comfortable

in the

uncomfortableness.

“The American flag doesn't give her glory

 on a peaceful, calm day.

It's when the winds pick up and become

boisterous, do we see her strength.

When she unfolds her

hand, and shows her frayed fingers,

where we see the

stretch of red-blood lines of man

that fought for this land.

The purity of white stripes

that strips our sins, and the

stars of Abraham's covenant,

broad in a midnight blue sky.

The rights our forefathers established.

As it waves high in

the currents of freedom,

where the Torch of Liberty shines

over the sea, does she give

meaning to unity. When we

strive as one nation, or

when it drops half-mast,

to a fallen soldier.”

 Anthony Liccione

Perfect kitty-size gap for a perfect size kitty!

If you're comfortable

with who you are,

it shows in your walk.

Going To Be SOME Light

My Candidate & New Friends!  ⬈

No one seems to have the
definitive origin story
of this custom, but in Hawaii candidates
for political office & reelection take to the
intersections and byways of their islands
with friends and supporters to hold signs,
and wave SHAKAs Link.  As a former street
outreach worker in public health, I have
tons of skills for engaging strangers in public.
I'm not afraid to shake that. . .
sign, and dance about.
After months spent at home,
or my exotic vay-cay
to the grocery store en-masque,
it was actually
a bit TOO much fun.
