Just The Way You Are

A   L   O   H   A  !
Come walk with me around Honolulu's
 McCully/Waikiki Neighborhood- link
You've made this day a special day,
by just your being you. There's
no person in the whole world like you,
and I like you just the way you are.
              Fred Rogers

Be grateful for luck.
Pay the thunder no mind -
listen to the birds.
And don't hate nobody.
       Eubie Blake

I never approve, or disapprove,
of anything now.
It is an absurd attitude
to take towards life.
We are not sent into the world to
air our moral prejudices.
            Oscar Wilde

If you can spend a perfectly
useless afternoon, in a
perfectly useless manner,
you have learned how to live.

This Image Makes Me Think

A  L  O  H  A !

“One small crack

does not mean that

you are broken, it

means that you were

put to the test and

you didn’t fall apart.”

   Linda Poindexter

Vandalism?
A little understanding
changes what we see.

Banana is a big grass,
not a tree.

When the banana bunches are full.
The plant completes it's cycle.
You cut the banana bunch,
And trample it to nurture the new growth.
Only the root remains-
from which sprout new
banana "trees."

This is a semi-public space
in Waikiki frequented by the
homeless. This image makes
me think that someone
has Free Food
from the land -
and to share!

“My life is shaped by

the urgent need to

wander and observe, and

my camera is my passport.”
